Fig Muhalabiya
The combination of the creamy texture of muhalabiya (a traditional milk pudding) with the rich sweetness of figs.
Ingredients
- 4 cups milk 
- 1/4 cup sugar 
- 3 tbsp cornstarch 
- 1 tbsp flour 
- vanilla 
- 2 tsp orange blossom water 
- 10 dried figs 
Method
- Very finely chop the figs and soak in hot water for 10-15 minutes. 
- In a pot, add the milk, sugar, cornstarch, and flour. Cook until thickened, stirring constantly. 
- Drain the figs and add them to the pot. Cook for 2-3 minutes. 
- Add the vanilla and orange blossom water. 
- Divide the mixture into the serving bowls. 
- Chill in the fridge for at least 4 hours.
