Maple Apple Tiramisu
A cozy twist on a classic with layers apple filling and maple-sweetened mascarpone cream.
Ingredients
Apple Filling
4 apples, peeled and cubed
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 tsp cinnamon
pinch of salt
vanilla
Tiramisu
1 cup whipping cream
1/3 cup maple syrup
250 g cream cheese
250 g mascarpone
vanilla
200 g lady fingers
1 1/2 cup water
1 1/2 tbsp instant coffee
cocoa powder
Method
In a pot over low heat, cook the apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt until soft and reduced. Add the vanilla and set aside to cool.
Mix the water and instant coffee and set aside.
In a bowl, whisk the whipping cream until medium peaks form.
Add the maple syrup, cream cheese, mascarpone, and vanilla.
To assemble, dip the lady fingers in the coffee and lay on a 8” square pan. Spread half of the apple filling followed by half of the cream. Repeat the layers and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.
Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
