Maple Apple Tiramisu

A cozy twist on a classic with layers apple filling and maple-sweetened mascarpone cream.


Ingredients

Apple Filling

  • 4 apples, peeled and cubed

  • 1/4 cup brown sugar

  • 1/4 tsp cinnamon

  • pinch of salt

  • vanilla

Tiramisu

  • 1 cup whipping cream

  • 1/3 cup maple syrup

  • 250 g cream cheese

  • 250 g mascarpone

  • vanilla

  • 200 g lady fingers

  • 1 1/2 cup water

  • 1 1/2 tbsp instant coffee

  • cocoa powder


Method

  • In a pot over low heat, cook the apples, brown sugar, cinnamon, and salt until soft and reduced. Add the vanilla and set aside to cool.

  • Mix the water and instant coffee and set aside.

  • In a bowl, whisk the whipping cream until medium peaks form.

  • Add the maple syrup, cream cheese, mascarpone, and vanilla.

  • To assemble, dip the lady fingers in the coffee and lay on a 8” square pan. Spread half of the apple filling followed by half of the cream. Repeat the layers and refrigerate for at least 4 hours.

  • Dust with cocoa powder before serving.
